Overall my partner and I were able to paint the desired picture for our elementary school librarian.
I would say the second project was successful in that we were able to paint the picture the librarian wanted, but I would say it was not successful because we were unable to finish the first idea for a project we had.
The biggest mistake we made was not asking permission sooner, which resulted in us not being able to go through with our original project.

Update
So far our group has emailed our principle and are planning to meet with our school staff to see if the school has any paint we can use to paint the courtyard. We were a little behind because so a miscommunication with who would send the email to our president. Another small setback was trying to decide what mural to do on the big school wall. Now we are back on track and expecting to finish at our estimated time.
The next four Fridays will be spent painting the walls and working on the mural. We had to cancel part of the project because another student decided to do it. That turned out to be a good thing because we never would have had time to finish it if we tried to do everything we planned.
I've learned that even though it can be hard for me and at times I dislike it, working with other people is quite beneficial to me and my relationship with others. This shows me that when I'm struggling and might not think I can ask for help with anyone, I can and it will help me in the long run. Now that i know this I think I will start working more with other people and strengthening my people skills.

Passion Project
For my passion project I'm going to completely redecorate the cafeteria courtyard. I plan on painting the side walls different vibrant colors. I'm also going to attempt to do a mural on the big wall that has nothing on it. As well as painting and decorating the bars on the gate. If possible, I would decorate and replenish the benches that are falling apart. Also, try and get some shading on the other tables outside so people don't get as hot.
I love the idea of the passion project, since a lot of students have said something about wanting the courtyard to look more fun and inviting. It would mean a lot to me to have a place that feels more comfortable in the school, that way the students could enjoy themselves and just relax during lunch or break. I plan on working very hard to achieve this goal, and I hope everyone else enjoys it as well.

That time i DIDN'T text in class......
It wasn't Balloon Fest 86, but it was equally as hilarious. Coming to a new school my freshman year of high school was a difficult journey. I was especially nervous about making new friends and the change in academic difficulty. One of my major fears was messing up and embarrassing myself in front of the whole class, causing a teacher not to like me. The idea scared me even more when a rap song started playing on my iPad in biology. Luckily I had the edited version which saved me and I managed to stop it quickly. Thankfully the teacher didn't mind and no longer remembers the incident. But one story that scarred me for my whole high school career (not really but it could have), was in freshman year Theology with Mrs.Ashcraft.
The class had been assigned a project to make a short bible story and present it on our iPads. Silly me forgot to turn off my message notifications prior to going up to present. While I'm looking down at my iPad, explaining one of the slides, people start to laugh. I look up at the board and of course, a message had popped up on the screen (for the record, I did not text them first). After everyone stopped laughing, I attempted to continue with my presentation and not turn red from embarrassment. But a few seconds later, surprise, another message pops up, sending the class into hysteria once again. This happens about 3 more times, to the point where even the teacher had to dry her eyes from laughing so hard. But the story doesn't end there. Because I'm such a genius, I forgot to take my iPad off the mirroring setting. Upon returning to my seat and opening my messages to yell at my friends, the class laughs once more while watching my messages open up in front of the entire class. Long story short, turn off your messages before you present ANYTHING. Lesson learned....sort of.
